PM Modi congratulates Israel’s new Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, also expressed gratitude to former PM Netanyahu

While congratulating Naftali Bennett on taking oath as PM of Israel, Narendra Modi also talked about strengthening the strong diplomatic ties between India and Israel

Naftali Bennett has now taken over the command of Israel. He has taken an oath as the Prime Minister of Israel on Sunday 13 June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Naftali Bennett on taking oath as PM. He also talked about strengthening the strong diplomatic ties between India and Israel. Apart from this, he has also praised the former Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Prime Minister Modi said in his tweet that, ‘Congratulations to Naftali Bennett on becoming the Prime Minister of Israel. As we celebrate 30 years of upgrading diplomatic relations next year, I look forward to meeting you on this occasion and further strengthening the strategic partnership between our two countries.

 

Apart from this, PM Modi has also thanked former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in another tweet. PM Modi said, ‘As you complete your successful tenure as the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, I express my gratitude for your leadership and personal attention to the India-Israel Strategic Partnership’.

 

Benjamin Netanyahu was the Prime Minister of Israel for 12 years. According to media reports, Netanyahu’s Likud party could not get a majority in the elections held in March this year. Talking about the new government of Israel, there is a coalition government of eight parties of different ideologies. Naftali Bennett, who became the Prime Minister in the new government, is a politician as well as a businessman.
