Today, the Indian Air Force band at Kochi Port in Kerala has welcomed two French Navy ships, the Sarcoff Frigate and the Assault Helicopter Carrier Tonner. Both French Navy ships will participate in the French-led exercise ‘La Perez’ from 5 to 7 April. According to a leading daily report, the exercise will be carried out with a group of quad countries in the Bay of Bengal.
The exercise will be conducted with both these ships of the French Navy along with Japan, Australia, the US and India. These four countries are members of the Quad Group. In such a situation, this group can also get far-reaching benefits by practicing ‘La Perez’ with the quad members of the French Navy. In the recently held quad meeting, the leaders of the four countries spoke on issues related to the Indo-Pacific region and described it as very important. In this meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that all the members of the Quad Group are connected to each other due to democratic values.
