ICC announces names of umpires and match referees for T20 World Cup 2021, know how many Indians got the place

An Indian umpire Nitin Menon has got an opportunity among the 16 umpires selected for the T20 World Cup 2021 and former India pacer Javagal Srinath has been included in the four-man match referee

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has today announced the names of 16 umpires and four match referees for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. T20 World Cup is starting from 17 October. ICC has selected a 20-man squad. Which means that for the first time after the Corona epidemic, there will be a neutral umpire for all the matches of the T20 World Cup running from 17 October to 14 November.

An Indian umpire Nitin Menon has got an opportunity among the 16 umpires selected for the T20 World Cup 2021 and former India pacer Javagal Srinath has been included in the four-man match referee. Three umpires from the 16-member panel of umpires i.e. Aleem Dar, Marais Erasmus and Rod Tucker will officiate in their sixth ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The first match of T20 World Cup 2021 will be played between Oman and Papua New Guinea on 17 October 2021. This tournament is being organized in Oman and UAE. The Qualifiers will be played in Oman while the Super 12 stage matches will be played in the UAE. Earlier this tournament was to be played in India. But due to the situation of corona infection, it was shifted to the Gulf country. The final of the T20 World Cup 2021 will be played on November 14.
