Environment Day is being celebrated across the world today. Environment Day was celebrated for the first time on 5 June 1974. Since then people all over the world have been celebrating this day every year. But should our responsibility towards the environment and nature be limited to just one day? Many people take an oath to keep the environment clean and protect it on this day. But it is just a formality. Because if we look at the present attitude of man towards nature, then it is known that the resources available from the environment and nature are being exploited unbridled. Due to which on one hand the environment is moving towards imbalance and on the other hand our environment is continuously getting impure due to pollution. The whole human race really needs to be aware of this.
Mankind has to understand that nature and the environment are a major part of our life on earth. Without them, man cannot even imagine himself. Therefore, taking oath one day for environmental protection will do nothing. For this, for the whole 365 days of the year, people will have to save the environment from being polluted and make efforts at their level to keep it pure. It has often been found that people who talk about the protection of the environment and nature in social media or in competitions, exploit it the most. In such a situation, how will we protect the precious wealth of nature. People have to understand that it is our moral duty to protect the environment.
Mankind should protect the environment not by considering it as a resource but considering it as its family. It is completely unfair to spend the gifts we have received from our nature as free treasure. For example, often we do not drink our full glass of water and waste it, this happens every day in every household. Similarly, the wasteful use of paper has also become the enemy of the forests.
From spreading dirt on the roads to indiscriminate cutting of trees and plants, burning of papers and plastics, all this works to poison the environment. For which man is responsible. Air pollution has become a major problem in the country. The water of most of the rivers has also become polluted. But people are not aware of it at all.
Nature takes care of human beings like parents. The priceless gift she gives us, we cannot pay the price for it. But like a good child, we can definitely fulfill our duty towards environmental protection. Because with the use of the environment on which we all depend, it is our responsibility to protect it.
