Farmer Protest: Farmers had 6 hours Chakka Jam, brake on the speed of vehicles

On 6 March, thousands of agitating farmers staged a demonstration on the KMP Expressway today, marking the completion of 100 days of the ongoing agitation against the new agricultural laws on the Delhi border. As per a leading daily report, protesters of the Indian Farmers Union also blocked the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Greater Noida. After which the traffic there has been affected.

As per media reports, vehicles were stopped at Zero Point on the highway. Due to which the line of vehicles started on both the highways. The protesters parked a tractor trolley in the middle of the expressway. During the protest, the situation of the jam on the expressway has caused a lot of trouble to the common people.

However, the agitating farmers also provided refreshments to the common people. During the agitation, vehicles connected with ambulances and other essential services are being allowed to move. The farmers also ate and drank while sitting on the expressway. Farmers have also made it toll-free. Kisan Sangharsh Samiti spokesperson Jagtar Singh Bajwa said about the movement that it is happening under a completely democratic system.

It was said that on the call of United Kisan Morcha, it was decided to keep the expressway closed for a total of 6 hours from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm today. The administration was also cautious in view of the demonstration. A large number of police forces were deployed for security.
