Today, farmers all over the country have started a nationwide Chakka jam against the new agricultural laws. The protesting farmers have announced about three hours of Chakka jam. After which the people have sat on the streets in different parts in the ongoing demonstration. On the other hand, there is no ruckus in today’s demonstration, so strong security arrangements have also been made. Meanwhile, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has issued an important statement.

Indian Farmers Union spokesman Rakesh Tikait made it clear that this Chakka jam would happen peacefully everywhere and in the meantime, if any wrong incident happens, then it will also be punished. There is no traffic jam in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi. However, the police in Delhi have been kept vigilant.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has given a tweet giving his support to farmers’ chakka jam. He wrote in his tweet, ‘Annadata’s peaceful satyagraha is in the national interest. These three laws are not only dangerous for the farmer-laborers, but also for the people and the country. Full support’.

‘The peaceful satyagraha of the Annadata is in the interest of the nation – these three laws are not only dangerous for the farmer-laborers, but also for the people and the country’.

On the other hand, in order to avoid an incident like 26 January in Delhi, paramilitary forces have been deployed along the borders of Delhi as well as in the NCR region. About 50 thousand personnel of Delhi Police, Paramilitary and Reserve Forces are deployed. Security has also been increased in Haryana. Many opposition parties, including Congress, have given their support to Chakka Jam.
