Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed several positive changes after the removal of Article 370, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir. According to a leading daily report, there has also been a sharp decrease in the incidents of stone-pelting in Kashmir. CRPF DG Kuldeep Singh has shared this important information.
DG Kuldeep Singh said this while addressing a press conference on the eve of the 82nd foundation day of CRPF. He said that the incidents of stone-pelting in Kashmir have remained close to just 10 percent. However, this problem is not yet completely eradicated.
Kuldeep Singh further said about the success of the security forces in the state that from the year 2020, 226 terrorists have been deployed and 296 terrorists have been arrested in different operations. Talking about the assembly elections to be held in West Bengal, he said that 725 companies of Central Armed Police Forces would be deployed.
India’s Ministry of Home Affairs had also reported in its recent report that there has been a decrease of about 63.93 percent in terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. It goes on to say that the removal of Article 370 by the Narendra Modi government in the year 2019 was considered a historic step. Most of the people appeared in favor of this decision. Despite opposition from the main opposition party Congress, some of its leaders also supported the decision.
