Since the introduction of worldwide vaccination against Corona, Indian vaccines have been recognized by many countries. Serum Institute’s ‘Covishield’ has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) including 46 countries and Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine has also been recognized in some countries. Now the covaxin has also been recognized in Australia. However, this vaccine is still waiting to be recognized by the WHO.

According to the report of a leading news agency, Bharat Biotech’s Corona Vaccine Covaccine has been approved by the Government of Australia. Australia’s High Commissioner to India Barry O’Farrell AO has given this information. According to Barry O’Farrell AO, the Australian government has approved Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine for the purpose of the vaccination status of travelers.

Getting Covaccine in Australia means that now it will be easy for any Indian traveler who has got a dose of Covaccine to travel to Australia. With this recognition, there has been an increase in the hope of getting fully indigenous covaxin recognized in other countries as well.

Recently the Technical Advisory Committee of WHO had a review meeting on the issue of approving the vaccine for emergency use. But the Bharat Biotech vaccine has not been approved for emergency use in this meeting. Rather, Bharat Biotech has been asked to provide more data on the vaccine.
