The concern of the government and the people in India has also increased regarding the new form of coronavirus AY.4.2. This new variant is causing havoc in many countries of the world. However, India is fully cautious about this variant. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has told that the government is keeping a close watch on this matter and a team is also engaged in its investigation.
Mansukh Mandaviya said that the variant is being tested at every level. Teams from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) are tasked with studying and analyzing various types. On the approval of Bharat Biotech’s corona vaccine ‘Covaxin’ by the World Health Organization (WHO), he said that it is a system of the WHO which consists of a technical committee that has approved the vaccine.

The Health Minister further informed that the second committee of WHO is meeting today. Covaxin approval will be given on the basis of today’s meeting. Giving information about the Prime Minister’s Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, he said that this mission will enable the country to fight any epidemic in the coming days.
Mansukh Mandaviya told that 64,000 crores will be spent in 5 years on ‘Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission’. Under this mission, two containers with all healthcare facilities will be set up, which can be moved from one place to another in case of emergency. He further said that the central government has not adopted a ‘symbolic’ but ‘holistic’ approach towards the healthcare sector.
