Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the Indian Space Association through video conferencing. This will make the country’s space program self-reliant and take it to a new height. Initiating a major reform for the space sector and space tech in India, Prime Minister Modi has congratulated everyone for the formation of the Indian Space Association.
Prime Minister Modi said in his address that when India progresses on its own, then India will move ahead at the global level as well. In this work, the government is standing with you at every step. He further said that the freedom of innovation of the private sector, the role of the government as an innovator, preparing the youth for the future and seeing the space sector as an instrument of general human progress are its four important pillars.

Prime Minister Modi said that the Government of India is working ahead with a clear policy regarding Public Sector Enterprises and is opening up most of these sectors to private enterprises where the government is not required. Referring to the decision related to Air India, he said that it shows our commitment and seriousness.
Regarding the self-reliant India campaign, Prime Minister Modi said that it is not just a goal but also a well-thought-out, well-planned and integrated economic strategy. He further said that the Government of India aims to make the country a global manufacturing hub by enhancing the skilling capabilities of India’s entrepreneurs, India’s youth.
