The new chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary, has told that the situation on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is that the Chinese Air Force is still present at three airports in the Chinese territory of the LAC. Indian Army is also fully deployed and ready from its side, he said this while addressing the media on the 89th anniversary of IAF.

Air Force Chief VR Chaudhary has said many important things in his address, talking about arm strength he said that we have further strengthened our network to avoid cyber attacks. Adequate security measures are being taken to protect our critical infrastructure. He further said that with the induction of Rafale, Apache, our combat capability has increased a lot.

 

The Air Chief said that with the integration of new weapons in our fleet, our offensive strike capability has become even more powerful. He told that we have been trying to work on indigenous anti-drone capability for a long time. We are benefitting startups to design and develop over a counter UAS system for the Air Force.

VR Choudhary on MiG-21 accidents said that a large number of accidents have taken place on the fleet, it cannot be ruled out. But the data also shows that the numbers have come down. I assure you that every aircraft in flight goes through all the checks strictly. He further said that we are about to get 6 light utility helicopters from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It also said that the Russian-made S-400 surface-to-air missile defense system will be inducted within this year.
