Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone of four medical colleges in Rajasthan and also inaugurated the Petrochemicals Technology Institute. Addressing the inauguration ceremony through video conferencing, he also talked about the country’s health sector and vaccination campaign including Ayushman Bharat. He said that today is a very important day for the health sector.
Prime Minister Modi laid the virtual foundation stone of medical colleges to be built in Dausa, Hanumangarh, Banswara and Sirohi districts. He said that the stream of development would get a new turn in the country as well as in Rajasthan to move forward in the health sector. Prime Minister Modi said that we are working on a new National Health Policy to transform the health sector of the country.

Prime Minister Modi said in his address that from Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to Ayushman Bharat and now Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission etc. are part of the new National Health Policy. He informed that the recently launched Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission will help in taking the health services forward in every nook and corner of the country. It will be just a click away to reach better hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies etc.
Regarding the vaccination campaign, Prime Minister Modi said that the effect of skills related to the health sector is visible in health services. Its importance was felt more during the corona pandemic. As a result of which the central government has started and continues the free vaccination program. Today, India has given corona vaccine worth more than 88 crores. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also joined this function through the virtual medium.
