Giving relief information today, the Union Health Ministry said that the cases of corona infection in the country are now decreasing continuously and the positivity rate is also decreasing. The recovery rate has also reached about 98 percent. However, keeping in mind the festive season, the Ministry of Health has advised people to take special precautions.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has said that with the festive season approaching, we appeal to the people to avoid crowds, maintain social distancing and use face masks. He urged the people to celebrate the festival by maintaining proper behavior regarding Corona. Rajesh Bhushan said that the infection rate in 18 districts of the country remains between 5 to 10 percent.

Rajesh Bhushan said that in the last 24 hours, about 23 thousand cases have been reported in the country. He further informed that there are cases of corona infection in Kerala. But Kerala contributes the most in the total cases. Kerala accounted for 60 per cent of the total cases reported last week. Kerala has the highest number of 144,000 active cases, which is 52 per cent of the total active cases in the country.
ICMR DG Dr. Balram Bhargava while advising to take precautions said that people should avoid unnecessary travel. At least this year it should do the same. He further said that the biggest need at this time is that both doses of the corona vaccine should be given to everyone in the country. Now is not the time to talk about booster doses. Talking about the vaccination campaign, according to the Ministry of Health, more than 88 crore corona vaccine doses have been administered so far.
