Air Marshal VR Choudhary has been elected as the next Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Air Force. Air Marshal VR Choudhary will take over on September 30. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, the current Chief of the Air Force, is retiring on 30 September 2021. The Ministry of Defense has released this information today.

The Defense Ministry said that the Government of India has decided to appoint Air Marshal VR Choudhary, presently Vice Chief of Air Staff, as the next Chief of Air Staff after the retirement of Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria on 30th. According to the Defense Ministry, Air Marshal VR Choudhary was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on 29 December 1982 and has currently held several important assignments at various levels including that of the Vice Chief of Air Staff.

 

The full name of Air Marshal VR Chaudhary is Vivek Ram Chaudhary. He has been posted in different parts of North India including the Ladakh sector involved in sensitive areas. Air Marshal Chaudhary has been awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) and Vayu Medal (VM) among many other awards.
