The Supreme Court has refused to hear the petition for the opening of schools across the country. The Supreme Court, while refusing to hear the petition filed by a class 12th student to hear the opening of schools across the country, said that we do not say that this petition has been filed for publicity, but it is better that You focus on studies.

According to the report of a leading daily, the Supreme Court said on this petition that this work belongs to the states, we should not interfere in it. The Supreme Court has clarified that it cannot direct states to restart schools for physical education. The court further said that we do not know where the risk of corona infection is high or in which district the number of infected is more.

The Supreme Court said that of course children need to go to school but it should be decided by the states. Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Justice B. V. Nagarathna’s bench said that the petitioner student is a resident of Delhi. The issue can be discussed with the government. Justice Chandrachud, while remarking, asked the advocate to ask his client to concentrate on studies and not involve himself in the pursuit of constitutional remedies.

Justice Chandrachud further said that see how wrong this petition is. I am not saying that this is a publicity gimmick, so children should not involve themselves in all this. Imagine the situation in Kerala and Maharashtra. The situation in Delhi is the same in West Bengal or Punjab.
