The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar have joined hands to launch the Eklavya Series. The objective of this online educational scheme is to show how to effectively implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in schools. The emphasis of the series will be on clarifying the NEP.
According to a leading daily report, in an official circular issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education, all school principals have been requested to take advantage of this opportunity by asking teachers to enroll for this course for teacher professional development for their teachers. required number of hours to be completed.
CBSE has stated that the aim of this series is to nurture creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, conceptual understanding and understanding of the way of learning in our students. CBSE and IIT Gandhinagar are collaborating for the fourth Eklavya series in an effort towards this objective. According to the report, the series will consist of practical activities, several projects, models that will help in understanding various topics.
Apart from this, suggestive questions, out-of-the-box assignments that encourage creative thinking will also be helpful. The registration process has started from 10th September. The first episode will be aired on September 26. It includes inspiring project videos that connect the curriculum to life, using local content. The content will be of varying levels and will cover topics in the Science and Mathematics syllabus of classes 6-12.
