A senior member of the Expert Working Committee has told that in many countries of the world, two different vaccine doses are being given to the same person. He further informed that a proposal was also received from the experts of CMC Vellore regarding mixed dosage. It has now been allowed to be tested. He has expressed hope that after getting good results of this trial in the coming days, it will be included in the vaccination. He also told that this entire process may take three to four months.

The committee member further stated that no adverse effects have been reported from the combination of Covishield and Covaxin. Therefore, it is quite expected that even in scientific tests, two different vaccines made of coronavirus and adenovirus will show the same effect in the same body. In addition to Covishield and Covaxin, the Russian corona vaccine Sputnik-V and Moderna vaccine have also been approved for use in India.
