On the forthcoming International Women’s Day in India, on March 8, women will be given free entry to the monuments across the country. This magnificent gift on Women’s Day has been given by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). As per to a leading daily report, orders have also been issued to give free entry of women to all the monuments on International Women’s Day.
The report states that ASI’s Joint Director-General M. Nambirajan has issued an order on the subject. Indian women as well as foreign women tourists will get free entry to all the monument sites protected by the Archaeological Survey Department. Superintending archaeologist Vasant Kumar Swarnakar has also told that like last year, this time also, the entry of women on ‘International Women’s Day’ will be free on 8 March.
As per the report, in addition to March 8, World Heritage Day on April 18 will also be free for visitors to India as well as foreign tourists. Many monuments in India, from Taj Mahal to Hawa Mahal in Jaipur are world-famous, so if you wish to visit some place then it can prove to be a golden opportunity.
International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8 in honor of women all over the world. The day is also the focal point of the movement for women’s rights and their empowerment. The aim of which is to bring awareness to the rights of women in the society.
