People often have different questions about the corona vaccine, the most effective weapon to fight the corona pandemic. In these, there is a question of whether two different vaccine doses can be given to a person. The answer to this important question has been given by Dr. VK Paul, Member, NITI Aayog.

Dr. VK Paul said that it is scientifically and theoretically possible for one person to apply the first dose to another vaccine and the second dose to another vaccine. But it is not appropriate to recommend it now because this situation is still developing. There is no firm evidence about it yet and it will be known only in the coming time.

 

Dr. Paul has told about the current situation of the second wave of Corona pandemic in the country. He said that the situation is now under control in a large part of the country. Dr. Paul said that the positive rate of corona in the country is decreasing and the active case of the corona is also declining. This is a positive sign for us.

Talking about new cases of corona in the country, according to the Ministry of Health, 2,57,000 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. While 3,57,630 people have recovered. 78 percent of the country’s new cases are being filed from 10 states. Apart from this, 18.41 crore vaccine doses have been made in the country so far. The Health Ministry said that about 92 lakh doses have been made available so far for people in the age group of 18-44.
