Vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech has started direct supply of Corona vaccine ‘Covaxin’ to 14 states of the country from 1 May. The information has been given by Suchitra Ila, Joint Managing Director of Bharat Biotech. He told on social media that the company has started direct supply of ‘covaxine’ as per the allocation made by the central government.
Suchitra Ela stated in her tweet that, ‘Bharat Biotech confirms the direct supply of covaxin to these state governments based on the allocation made by the Government of India with effect from 1 May 2021. Requests for this have also been received from other states and we will distribute it on the basis of stock availability ‘.

Suchitra Ela has also shared the list of those 14 states. Whose direct supply of ‘covaxin’ has started. These states are – Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Assam. Explain that Bharat Biotech has also reduced the price of ‘covaxin’ from Rs 600 to Rs 400 per dose for the state governments.
India’s first indigenous corona vaccine ‘covaxin’ has been found effective against various variants of the corona. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has found in its study that ‘covaxin’ is effective on different variants of the coronavirus. The noted American epidemiologist Dr. Anthony Fauci also said that it is effective against 617 variants of Corona.
