Brazil looks forward to India’s help to get COVID vaccine

Brazil has one of the highest outbreaks of Covid in the world, along with America, Russia, and UK. On Monday, Jair Bolsonaro intimated the Indian government after The Chief of Serum Institute, Adar Poonawala quoted that Indian government would be imposing export restrictions for Covid-19 vaccine.

Indian Covid vaccine policy has been impacted by confusing signals on vaccine export. Now, after the clearance from the Chief of Serum Institute, Adar Poonawala Brazil is trying to get the finished vaccine doses from India. As per media reports, Brazil’s private hospitals and clinics have signed purchase agreement with both Indian Pharma companies Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech for the vaccine as Brazil has no supplement for its own.
