CBSE: Class 12 board examinations to be held in August for students dissatisfied with evaluation policy, read the full news

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today told the Supreme Court that alternative examinations will be conducted in the month of August-September for students who are not satisfied with the results prepared on the basis of internal evaluation for class 12th. CBSE has said this during the hearing of petitions related to board examinations and evaluation in the Supreme Court.

CBSE told the Supreme Court that the exam dates will depend on the situation of corona infection across the country. CBSE has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court. In which the board has agreed to form a dispute resolution committee on the evaluation policy of class 12 as per the directions of the apex court. The purpose of this committee will be to resolve the grievances of the students regarding marks.

CBSE also informed in its affidavit that the results of class 12th will be released by July 31, 2021. The board said in the Supreme Court that we are preparing the result from the already declared evaluation criteria. On June 17, 2021, CBSE had submitted the Evaluation Criteria to the Supreme Court to prepare the 12th class results.

CBSE had told the Supreme Court that the results of class 12th will be prepared on the basis of the marks of 3 subjects with the highest marks out of 5 subjects of class 10th and 11th. Also said that the committee constituted by the board is in favor of evaluating class 12th on the basis of 30:30:40 formula. In this, 30 percent weightage will be given to the final result of class 10 and class 11 and 40 percent of class 12 internal exam and pre-board will be taken.
