Today, that is, the last trading day of this week has proved to be important for the Indian stock market. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s ‘major domestic index’ Sensex has closed at the highest level after the day’s volatility. Sensex has crossed the 61000 mark for the first time, creating a new history today. The Sensex touched 61,305.95 with a jump of 568.90 points (0.94 per cent).
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also closed at 18,338.55 with a gain of 176.80 points (0.97 per cent) today. In the stock market, there was a great increase in the shares of IRCTC and Avenue Super Mart. The share of IRCTC has gained 10.94 per cent to Rs 5467.35, taking its market capitalization to Rs 87,477.60 crore. The market capitalization of Avenue Super Mart stands at Rs 3,45,241.24 crore.The share of DMart has also risen by 4.04 per cent to Rs 5,329.65 today. If we look at today’s big stocks of the market, then the shares of ITC, Adani Ports, Wipro, HDFC Bank and Grasim closed on the green mark. Apart from this, shares of HCL Tech, Tata Motors, Coal India, Eicher Motors, and HDFC Life closed on the red mark.
Talking about the sectoral index, FMCG, IT, Realty, Media, Bank, PSU Bank, Private Bank, Metal, Finance Service and Pharma closed on the green mark. Today the initial trading of the market also started with strong momentum. The Sensex opened with a gain of 0.64 per cent and the Nifty opened with a gain of 0.65 per cent at 18279.50.
