Many important decisions have been taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. Union Ministers Anurag Thakur and Piyush Goyal have given information about the decisions taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet. Anurag Thakur informed that Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana has been approved. The Union Cabinet has approved the Neemuch-Ratlam line in Madhya Pradesh, which is currently a single line. He has also been allowed to double.
Giving information about the decisions, Anurag Thakur said that under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana, mid-day meal will be given in 11.2 lakh government and government-aided schools across the country. 1.31 lakh crore will be spent for this. This scheme will run for five years. He said that the rest of the mid-day meal scheme will also be included in this scheme. PM nutrition scheme will be run with the support of the state government, but more contributions will be made by the central government.

Anurag Thakur further informed that approval has been given to double line Neemuch-Ratlam line in Madhya Pradesh. About Rs 196 crore will be spent on this 133 km line. Apart from this, approval has also been given to convert Rajkot-Kanalus line into double line in Gujarat. An investment of Rs 1080 crore will be made on this 111 km long line.
The Union Cabinet has also approved an investment of Rs 4,400 crore in ECGC Limited over five years to provide assistance to exporters and banks. This will create 59 lakh new employment opportunities including 2.6 lakh in the formal sector. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the Union Cabinet has approved Export Credit Guarantee Corporation Ltd. Listing has also been approved.
